Hey fellow Enthusiasts!
I’m sorry for the lack of posts these past couple (more than a couple) months. I’ve been pretty busy with a new job. Now that things on my end have stabilized a bit, I’ll be posting again VERY SOON!
Here are a couple things coming down the pipeline in the very near future:
1 - Long term review of the 2019 GS65 w/2080 Max-Q
*Edit* Borderlands 3 and Gears of War 5 have recently launched along with Nvidia's 436.30 driver. The driver is currently BROKEN and has been removed from the Nvidia web page. I've delayed this review until next weekend so I can get some performance numbers for these games with a working driver.
*Edit 2* It seems like the driver is back up on the Nvidia page, I haven’t seen any issues so I’ll start logging benchmarks for all games. ETA to release is now October 5.
*Edit 3* Sorry everyone, life got a bit crazy again on my end. I finished writing BUT haven’t completed benchmarks yet (about halfway done). I’m pushing the date back to October 12.
It’s been almost 6 months since I first got my hands on this laptop and I wanted to give a “final” review on it now that I’ve fully optimized it, traveled internationally, and really put the build to the test. This will include UPDATED performance numbers with some of the latest games available, my (personal) optimized settings, and my thoughts on this laptop VS the latest revision of gaming/productivity laptops.
New Release Date - October 12
2 - My Everyday Carry (EDC)
This will go over EVERYTHING that I carry with me on a daily basis and will include short reviews for some of my “smaller” pieces of gear.
ETA October 19.
